9th Annual Vintage Classic – May 1
Vintage Hickory Tournament
Saturday, May 1, 2021
First tee time at 10:00 a.m.
The Vintage Hickory Tournament has been one of the Pacific NW “Major” hickory events with Jim Von Lossow as one of the past winners. The Vintage Tournament is in the ninth year and is what started the “World Hickory Golf Day” that is advertised by Society of Hickory Golf (SoHG) and many other hickory groups. The event has always been played at the Meadow Park Golf Course and is supported by the Tacoma Metro Park District Golf Operations Manager, Chris Goodman, who is a avid hickory golfer. Chris always has the course in great condition and set up well for our hickory tournament.
The course has a great practice area, a large putting green and even special low compression range balls for hickory clubs. $35 greens fee plus $10 kitty for medals and prizes. Your greens fee include one hickory-friendly range bucket too! Pay at the course. Carts are available, at cost, from the pro shop.
This event is in honor of World Hickory Day.
The course was designed by Northwest legendary course designer John Ball in 1915, and is a great hickory layout.
This will be an individual stroke play event. We have space for 36 players.
Period attire requested but not required.
